Summer Reading Program

Sign-up for the 2018 Summer Reading Fun Program “Libraries Rock” begins the week of Monday, May 21, 2018 through Saturday, May 26, 2018.  You can sign up any day of the program, through Saturday, July 21st.


Kids and teens from 2 to 18 are invited to the Noel Wien Public Library, located at 1215 Cowles St., to join the free Libraries Rock! Summer Reading Fun program.  Just read (or listen to) books of your choice this summer, and earn weekly prizes, plus earn a free book at the end of the program.  There are also contests, crafts, prize drawings, a fun ending party, and more!  Sign up begins the week of Monday, May 21st and continues on an ongoing basis through Saturday, July 21st.  Stop by the public library and let your summer fun begin!  Call the Youth Services Department at the Noel Wien Public Library at 459-1052 or the North Pole Branch Library at 488-6101 for more information, or visit the library’s web page for more information:

Mother Moose Storytime

A short rhyme, story and activity time for babies and toddlers from birth to 23 months and a parent or caregiver, in the Berry Room.
No registration is required.

Libraries Rock! Storytime

A fun time with stories, songs, and action rhymes for 3 year olds through 2nd graders.
In the Berry Room Story Area.  No registration is required.
(There will be no storytime on Wednesday, July 4th, but join us for a bonus Storytime on Thursday, July 5th at 1:30 PM).

Parents and Twos Storytime

Parents & Twos is a sweet little 4-week storytime for 2-year-olds and a parent or caregiver in a small group setting.  It is offered in both June and July.   Advanced registration is required.

Call 459-1052 during the library’s open hours, or stop by in person, to register and obtain the program times.  It is held in the Berry Room Story Area.

Movies @ Your Library

Movies are shown on the big screen in the Noel Wien Library auditorium.
Popcorn munchies served.  Auditorium doors open 10 minutes before show time.

Young Adult/Teen Summer Reading Program
for 7th to 12th graders

We’ve got a program just for young adults and teens, too.  Read a book a week, enter a weekly drawing for a gift card prize, and come to programs including a teen mini-golf, teen makerspace, teen movie and pizza, teen slime making, and teen rock painting.  Plus, you’ll be invited to our grand finale program in the fall:  Teen Mystery Night.  Stop by the Berry Room at the Noel Wien Library, or the North Pole Branch Library, to sign up for the Young Adult Summer Reading Program.
