Preschool Storytime

Tuesdays @ 10:30 AM and Wednesdays @ 1:30 PM
A fun storytime for 3-5 year olds. No registration required.
[Preschool Storytime will not be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 26th and 27th,
and on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 2nd and 3rd.]


Parents & Twos Storytime

A sweet little storytime for two year olds and a parent or caregiver.
Call the Berry Room at 459-1052, or stop by in person, to register for the 3-week December session.
Spaces are limited in each session.
Advanced registration IS REQUIRED.

An evening storytime for 3-10 year olds.  PJs, slippers, and your favorite stuffed animal are welcome.   No registration is required.


Movies @ Your Library

Movies are shown on the big screen in the Noel Wien Library auditorium.
Popcorn munchies served.
Auditorium doors open 10 minutes before show time.

Cars in Motion Program

Thursday, January 4th, 1:30 PM in the Noel Wien Library Auditorium
You create a car, then race it against your friends under different conditions while learning about inclines, ramps and friction.  For children ages 3 and up.  No registration required.

Drop-in Crafts in the Berry Room

Wednesday, December 27th from 1-5 PM:  Animal Sculptures Craft
Cats and frogs and turtles and chicks and more:  make an animal out of paper strips.  Let’s create some animals with paper and glue and our imaginations.  Bring along your creativity and we’ll supply the materials.   For children ages 3 and up.  No registration required.

Thursday, December 28th from 1-5 PM:  Fly-Catching Frog Craft
Do frogs eat flies?  Create a frog and see if you can help him catch the fly.  All materials supplied by the public library.  For children ages 3 and up.  No registration required.

Wednesday, January 3rd from 1-5 PM:  Amazing 3D Mazes Craft
Amazing 3D Mazes! How fast can you roll from start to finish?  Depends on how many twists and turns you design. Watch out for boobytraps!  All materials supplied by the public library.  For children ages 3 and up.  No registration required.

Monday, January 8th from 1-5 PM:  Penguin Craft
Make a friendly winter penguin pal out of an empty water bottle.  All materials supplied by the public library.  For children ages 3 and up.  No registration required.

Movie Matinee

Kids’ Cooking Creations Club

Friday, January 5th at 1:30 PM in the Noel Wien Library Auditorium
Make something edible that relates to a children’s book.
You can use some of our many literary cookbooks, make a food mentioned in a particular book, or just create something unique using a cookbook (Here’s a list of suggestions: Children’s Cookbook List January 2018).

Prepare something from any cookbook you choose, then bring it to the auditorium on Friday, January 5th at 1:30  PM, with enough for 20 people to taste, the cookbook, and a copy of the recipe to share with the group.

How it works:

  1. Sign-up is required and is limited to 20 children/teens (ages 5 to 16). Call 459-1052 by Thursday, January 4th to sign up and let us know what you will be bringing.
  2. Enjoy sampling different foods, share your love of food and books, make new friends, and socialize!
  3. Drinking water, paper products and plasticware  will be provided.  Please bring serving utensils to serve your food item.
