Election Information

Municipal elections are conducted each year on the first Tuesday in October. The Borough Clerk administers municipal elections for the Borough Mayor, Assembly, School Board and Interior Alaska Natural Gas Utility (IGU). The Assembly, School Board and IGU seats are at large, representing all citizens of the borough. Municipal Elections, by state statute, are non-partisan elections, free from party affiliation.

Municipal Elections include elections for the City of Fairbanks and City of North Pole. While these elections are administered by the Borough Clerk, information specific to the cities can be found on their respective websites.
