Fairbanks Library Foundation

The purpose of the Fairbanks Library Foundation is to support all Fairbanks North Star Borough public libraries, to enhance their operations, to encourage and support expansion of library buildings, facilities and equipment, and to create, manage, and build an investment fund to assist in these endeavors. The purposes for which the corporation is organized is exclusively for charitable, education and scientific purposes qualifying it as an exempt organization under Section 170(c)(2), 501 (c) (3) and /or 509 (a) (3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Board of DirectorsBoard members serve to promote the libraries by providing assistance for special projects and by providing supplemental funding for programs and services that enrich the lives of people in the community. The Foundation accepts contributions in any form, raises money through selling specialty items, and other funding raising efforts. The Board also works in conjunction with and helps support the Friends of the North Pole Branch Library. The Fairbanks Library Foundation meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Noel Wien Library at 4:00 p.m., normally in the conference room.
